The subsection describes modules for determining Forlan's version (the Version module), querying and setting various Forlan parameters (the Params module), doing pretty-printing (the PP module), issuing informational and error messages (the Messages module), loading SML files (the Use module), doing debugging (the Debug module), and interacting with the operating system (the System module).
